This penalty is serious, and your college would not place you on probation unless your grades need substantial improvement. Academic Probation Any matriculated student who has a cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 1.00 and less than 2.00 will be placed on academic probation for the following semester. A student who is subject to both academic warning and academic probation will be placed on academic probation. The academic standing on the transcript will be noted as “Suspension 1”.
